Rootz Theater offers performance opportunities that are perfect for those interested in being a part of a fun and high-energy rockin’ musical theater production!
Rehearsals help develop singing, dancing, and dialogue skills while building self-confidence, creativity, problem solving, teamwork and more.
Ages: 4 – 6
Time Commitment: 50 minute rehearsal weekly
Join us onstage for an introduction to musical theater in Broadway Bound! Using teamwork, theater games, technique exercises and imaginative play, we will work together to create a mini-musical for our families. Every session, we will learn and build on introductory theater skills while rehearsing for a performance for friends and family at the end of the session on stage in the Rootz classroom.
Grades: 1st-3rd
Time Commitment: 90 minute rehearsal weekly (Plus 2-3 weekend rehearsals)
In this introduction to musical theater, students will learn the basic principles of theater to develop confidence both onstage and off. Though instruction and collaboration, Broadway Stars teaches children about the process of theater as well as creating a final production. The final performance is a 30-40 minute Broadway Junior musical performed on stage at the theater at Christian Heritage Academy in Northfield.
Grades: 4th – 8th
Time Commitment: 105 minute rehearsal weekly (Plus 4 weekend rehearsals)
New for Fall 2023, Theater Company is an advanced audition-only musical theater program for actors ready for a more robust production This progression from Broadway Stars provides an in-depth experience with acting, voice and movement, characterization and general performance skills. The final performance will take place on stage at the theater at Christian Heritage Academy in Northfield.
