Performance Dance & Cheer Teams

Performance teams are a perfect platform for your dancer or cheerleader to find and explore their inner performer while they hone their technical skills.

All dancers and cheerleaders that audition will be placed on at least one performance team.

Teams will perform (four times a year) from January through May at various venues near Rootz.

Performances in the past include: Chicago Bulls Game, Hawthorn Mall, Christian Heritage Academy, Great America and the Genesee Theater.

Dancers and Cheerleaders entering 1st Grade in the Fall of 2026 and older are eligible to audition for Performance Teams for the 2026/2027 season.

Performance - Cheer (Advanced)	Location: American Academy of Gymnastics, 1845 Raymond Drive NorthbrookCheer Performance Team is guided by the expertise of Coach Andrea. The sport of cheer teaches our athletes the value of commitment, teamwork, sportsmanship, integrity, self confidence, respect for self and others with a positive attitude. Teams will perform (four times a year) from January through May at various venues near Rootz. Performances in the past include: Chicago Bulls Game, Hawthorn Mall, Christian Heritage Academy, Great America, and the Genesee Theater. Cheer includes tumbling, motions, jumps, dance and stunting all learned and choreographed into a cheer routine. Performance - Cheer	Teams will perform (four times a year) from January through May at various venues near Rootz. The Cheer Performance participants will learn jumps, motions, dance,tumbling, and stunting which will all become a part of their routine learned. Performance - Poms	Teams will perform (four times a year) from January through May at variousvenues near Rootz. Performance- Stunt Group	Teams will perform (four times a year) from January through May at various venues near Rootz. Performances in the past include: Chicago Bulls Game, Hawthorn Mall, Christian Heritage Academy, Great America, and the Genesee Theater. This team is only available for participants on one of the Cheer Performance or Cheer Compete Teams. This team will focus on one routine based on stunting.
