Youth Theatre

Broadway Bound

Grades: K - 1 | Class Length: 60 Minutes

Join us onstage for an introduction to musical theatre in Broadway Bound! Using teamwork, theatre games, technique exercises and imaginative play, we will work together to create a mini-musical for our families. Every session, we will learn and build on introductory theatre skills while rehearsing a different popular play to recreate for friends and family on the last day. This winter, we will go under water to help a sea creature find love in a world that’s different from her own. Costumes, props, and more set this opportunity above the rest!

Class Benefits:

  • Confidence expressing self onstage
  • Turn-taking and sharing
  • Learning to identify and explore our feelings, bodies, and voices
  • Creative expression in creating stories and pretending with a group
  • An introduction to an end-of-session performance, in costumes, for a live audience

Improvisation is the art of acting without a script. This class will introduce kids to the basics of performing and help develop self-confidence on and off stage. We offer a supportive, fun environment so children can learn to express themselves through verbal communication and physical expression. Your child will learn to think on their feet, work with others, and have a great time. Class work culminates in a showcase at the end of the session for friends and family to witness their budding comedic skills.
