If your little heroes are ready for the next step on their journey to save the world, then look no further! This class will focus on learning the stories of our favorite heroes and putting them together on the stage for a short 5-10 minute performance at the end of the session. Students will also spend time playing themed games and activities to enhance their knowledge of the genre, as well as learning how to work as a team.
Join us onstage for an introduction to musical theatre in Broadway Bound! Using teamwork, theatre games, technique exercises and imaginative play, we will work together to create a mini-musical for our families. Every session, we will learn and build on introductory theatre skills while rehearsing a different popular play to recreate for friends and family on the last day. This summer, we will visit the depths of the ocean and meet our underwater friends as we help to help a father fish reunite with his cute little orange baby fish! This fall, we will find a home for an orphan looking for a family in the heart of New York City. Costumes, props, and more set this opportunity above the rest!
- Confidence expressing self onstage
- Turn-taking and sharing
- Learning to identify and explore our feelings, bodies, and voices
- Creative expression in creating stories and pretending with a group
- An introduction to an end-of-session performance, in costumes, for a live audience
Let your little star shine! Our youngest performers create and become the characters in exciting stories brought to life. Using classic stories and nursery rhymes, this introductory class introduces young children to the magic of theatre as they discover their own exceptionality and individuality. As well as playing pretend, students will also take part in fun-filled theatre exercises and movement games. We welcome parents multiple times throughout the session to see our progress. Let’s make a play!
